Vertical machining center

Vertical machining center is a highly automated multifunctional CNC machine tool, widely used in modern manufacturing industry. The following is an introduction to vertical machining centers and their main applications:

Introduction

The spindle axis of vertical machining center is set perpendicular to the table, and it is usually equipped with tool magazine and automatic tool changer. It is capable of completing a variety of processes, such as milling, boring, drilling, thread tapping, etc., through CNC control after one clamping.1 Vertical machining centers are relatively simple in structure, cover a small footprint, and are less expensive, and are suitable for machining complex parts in the form of plates, disks, molds, and small housings.2

Main Applications

Plate and disk parts processing: suitable for processing a variety of plate and disk parts, capable of completing high-precision milling and drilling and other processes

Die and mold manufacturing: In die and mold manufacturing, vertical machining centers can efficiently process complex surfaces and cavities of dies and molds.

Small shell parts processing: suitable for processing small shell parts, able to complete multi-face machining, improve productivity.

High-precision parts machining: due to its high precision and automation characteristics, widely used in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, electronics and telecommunications industries.

The advantages of vertical machining centers lie in their easy operation, easy to observe the processing situation, simple debugging procedures, suitable for multi-species, small batch production.
